A lot of us may have passed some sweet mobile phone deals for the iPhone thinking that it’s just not what a system admin or a webmaster needs to stay on top of his or her game. but luckily the user community as well as the app making community have pulled through and started coming up with solutions for more hardcore computer and internet users to also be able to fully enjoy the iPhone in all its glory. Here are some apps we’ve tested and now present to you.
The first app we’d like to talk to you about is the iSSH. This is, in our opinion, the best SSH client for the iPhone. It allows you to connect to routers and servers and you’ll be able to use your iPhone as a Telnet terminal. Another very powerful app we’ve tested is called the pTerm and it’s a multi functional SSH, Telnet and raw TCP client, based on one of our favorite desktop clients, the PuTTY. Finally, we’d like to mention the aSubnet app. It’s a very technical-oriented app that allows you to quickly, precisely and easily calculate IPv4 subnets. We’ve find that it rivals anything we have installed on our desktop PC.
